Volcanoes National Park (French: Parc National des Volcans) sits on the Northwestern side and is famously known as a place of thousand hills, The 160km squared montane jungle was first gazetted in 1925, as a confinement chamber to protect the Mountain Gorillas from Poachers, being the very first National Park to be created in Africa. Years later, the park became the ideal base for the heroic American Naturalist Dian Fossey, who set up Karisoke Research Centre and carried her research on gorillas in 1967.

Most of the visitors who come to this Park, find it un resistible visiting the Park minus paying a respect to the grave of Dian Fossey who was buried in this Park. Her life time mission to save these gorillas from extinction, didn’t fed off. We are able to trek and enjoy the beauty of these gorillas because of her efforts to bring the gorillas plight to attention of the international community. This trip can be tailored to include a hike to the Dian Fossey tombs.

Day 1: Visit Rwanda, Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National park

Wake up early Morning in the Capital City of Rwanda, After your breakfast, our guide will pick you, for the Kigali City tour in this sprawling Mediterranean City of beautiful streets, chain stores, suburbs, local facilities shopping centres among others. Begin with a visit to the local Market, the National Museum, the genocide memorial site all presenting unique experiences about Rwanda. After this experience, have lunch at your preferred hotel, prepare and transfer to the Countryside in the Volcanoes National Park, Check in your lodge, dinner and sinner. Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National park

Wake up on the breeze of Africa, there is much to feel and fall for, from the whirling Birds to the Orange sunsets, all this presents a memorable experience. Set out in your hiking gears and drinking water, as advised by our guide expert. The jungle is a little bit challenging and requires those who are physically fit. Proceed to the Park headquarters for short briefing about the rules and regulations to follow while on the trek and when you encounter with a gorilla. Penetrate the jungle with an armed game ranger who will help you track the giants. Depending on the movement of gorillas, Spend 1-2 hours looking for them in their natural wild. When you encounter with them, spend 1 hour learning their way of life as well as taking your best photo-shots. After the experience, retire back, En route back to your hotel in Kigali or preferred destination in Kigali.
