Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe Airport to Kibale national Park

Depart from Kampala and drive off to Kibale national Park leaving the bustle and hustle of the city behind to cover about 358km in about 4-5 hours road drive, through Mityana-Mubende-FortPortal Road. Have lunch in the most seclusive beautifully city of Fortportal. Unleash out the secrets of this city, visit the Toro Kingdom Palace, the Royal tombs, the locals showcasing their traditional dances that presents history about their origin and way of life. Proceed to Kibale and check in your lodge.

Kibale national Park was gazetted in 1932 and formally established in 1993 to protect a large area of forest previously managed as a logged forest reserve. The park forms a continuous forest with Queen Elizabeth National Park. This adjoining of the parks creates a 180 kilometres wildlife corridor. It is an important eco-tourism and safari destination, popular for its population of habituated chimpanzees and twelve other species of primates.

You will have an afternoon Nature walks to Kanyanchu river camp that showcases beautifully landscapes and a rich bio-diversity that is a hideout to most of the common ones especially the forest baboons, black & white colobus monkeys and the blue monkeys. The river attracts hundreds of water loving birds like herons, kingfishers, Malachites, Proovers among others. The evening Sun downers are a magnificent background for Photo lovers. Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Experience, Bigodi Nature Walk Experience

Wake up on the dead sounds from the forests, With an experienced guide, Follow the tracking trails near by Kanyanchu early Morning. The loneliness and dead sounds from the forest reveal thousands of secrets, Depending on nature and weather of the day, the trek lasts from 2-4 hours, You will encounter with the forest dwellers like the forest inmates like baboons, L’Hoest’s monkeys, blue monkeys, white & black colobus monkeys, the grey checked mangabey, pottos and red colobus and other forest species.

After an encounter with Chimps, Proceed to the iconic Bigodi Swamp a fascinating area, located in Magombe swamp that ushers out an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primates species like the red colobus monkey, baboon, black & white colobus monkey, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey and the L’Hoest monkey. There are also Mammals like Sitatunga, mongooses, bush pigs, otters plus bush bucks and many more. Bigodi Swamp is alos a birders paradise with over 138 species with the most well-known bird being theGreat Blue Turaco. After the epxerience retire back to the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer Queen Elizabeth National Park

Afteryour breakfast, check out and leave for a game drive along the Kasenyi track and the Queen’s Mile in search for lions, warthogs, elephants, antelope species, buffaloes, hippos and water-bucks. The Kasenyi Track is among the best game viewing places in Queen Elizabeth National Park and also a wonder bird watching destination.

Have a 2 hour boat-cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This channel is a natural attraction for water birds while the Mweya peninsula serves as a migrant trap for Albertine Rift Endemics. On the banks of the channel you will spot bird species like the Great White & Pink-backed Pelicans, the African Open billed Stork, the Black Crake, Yellow-backed Weaver, the Great & Long-tailed Cormorants etc. Retire back, Check in your lodge for Dinner and Sinner. Day 4: Chimp Tracking in Kyambura Gorge-Transfer to Bwindi

Following an early breakfast, set out tracking chimpanzees in the gorge also known as the “Valley of Apes”, while there you will be amazed at the rich Tropical Rain-forest in this area of which guided nature walks can also be carried out. Other animals that can be seen include; Black and white colobus monkey, red tailed monkey, giant forest hogs among others. Later drive to Bwindi Forest National Park. Check in and have dinner at Gorilla Forest Camp or Buhoma Homestead or Gorilla resort or Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking- Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, go to the headquarters where you will be briefed about the gorilla trekking in the impenetrable forests. You will be allowed to spend an hour in the presence of the gorillas after trekking for about 3 to 5 hours. Other options include taking the Munyanja river trail, to see the stunning waterfalls plus the great profusion of bird-life or a community walk within the Batwa community. Dine and slumber at Gorilla Forest Camp or Buhoma Homestead or Gorilla resort or Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi

In the morning after a hefty breakfast you will depart from this mountain gorilla sanctuary and drive to Lake Bunyonyi which is another primary tourist stopover which is outstandingly very marvellous. Bunyonyi is a local word for “small birds” in reference to the several birds that live around here making it a favorite destination for birders.

Prepare to see several small islands among other highlights here. On arrival you will have a canoe ride you will see the various small islands such as Bwama Island also a wonderful destination for birders. Alternatively you could take a nature walk which will help you to appreciate a great diversity of small birds here. Dine and overnight at the Bunyonyi Overland Camp or Arcadia Cottages.

Day 7: Kampala

Following breakfast drive back at leisure to Kampala.
