Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
You will be picked from your hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe Airport in one of our Safari beasts, Our driver/guide will brief you before you set off on the countryside. Incase you are picked from the Airport, Our guide will transfer you to your Hotel preferably Entebbe Botanical Beach Hotel or any other where you will dine, have a relaxation and Over Night.
Day 2: Travel to Murchison falls, Hike top of the falls
After breakfast drive northwards to the renowned Murchison Falls national park, with a stopover for your lunch in Masindi and also another at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rare rhinos that are protected in this sanctuary. Later arrive in Murchison falls national park also Ugandas largest well protected wildlife area covering 3,840 Sq km. Move to the top of the Falls to view the natural beauty of these falls. At this place, the river squeezes itself through a 7 meter narrow gorge from a width of more than 1 km and drops below with a thunderous roar forming a water spray that rainbow that results into a stunning rainbow the wonders of Nile River! Day 3: The river Nile boat cruise
Have an early delicious breakfast, explore the Northern part hosting a high number of Savannah wildlife. this game drive offers great opportunities for photography of elephants, lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks as well as hippos, and in case you are fortunate even the leopards, in addition to a big number of bird species. Following lunch, have for a 2 hour boat-cruise to the bottom of the Murchison falls from where great volumes water escapes through the small gorge forming an immense thunderous roar. During this boat ride you will see several water birds plus mammals in big numbers like Hippos and crocodiles. Head back to the lodge have dinner and slumber at your lodge. Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park
After breakfast, transfer to Murchison Falls NP heading Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley while enjoying the sights of traditional homesteads and farms in this verdant country side. You take packed lunch or simply have an early lunch Hoima. The Murchison – Kibale drive is approximately 7 to 9 hours depending on the weather conditions. Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking Uganda safaris
Wake up for an early morning breakfast to get ready for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park. You need to get to the park headquarters by 8.00 am local time for briefing on the day’s activity by the senior park ranger guide. At 8.30 am you will be transferred to starting point from where the search for chimpanzees begins. There are 95% chances of seeing the chimpanzees in this forest. By mid day you are expected to be back for lunch and later proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park for an evening game drive. Dinner & overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge /Enganzi Safari Lodge (FB)
Day 6: Game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning breakfast, undertake a morning game drive to the Kasenyi area expecting to view early morning predators such as leopards, and lions, different antelope species, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, warthogs, waterbucks, etc. For birders, QE national park is a birders’ paradise with over 606 species including a variety of migratory and Albertine Rift Endemics. In the afternoon, at 14:00 hrs you will walk down to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise along the kazinga channel between lakes Edward and George. Day 7: Drive to Ishasha Sector and then Transfer to Bwindi National Park
After an early breakfast, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park through the Ishasha – the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth NP for viewing tree-climbing lions which are only here in the whole country. Savannah Hotel is ideal for lunch after a game drive in Ishasha. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening. If you bear gorilla permits for Buhoma sector, a Batwa community trail will be a highlight as you will be treated to cultural dance and music. Day 8: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest
After an early morning breakfast walk to the park headquarters for briefing and later follow the gorilla trail. It normally takes between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. If time and energy allow, you may take a community tour to the Batwa community after tracking Overnight stay at Mahogany Springs (luxury) / Bakiga Lodge (deluxe) or Buhoma community campsite (budget)
Day 9: End of the Uganda Safari
After breakfast transfer back to Kampala with lunch en route in Mbarara and arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon for a transfer to the Entebbe airport for your departure flight. Alternatively you may have to be transferred to Kigali airport in Rwanda which is quite close since it is simply a 4 to 5 hours drive. End of the Safari
