Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. The “impenetrable forest” protects nearly more than half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world and it is one of the best places to go gorilla trekking in Africa. In addition to seeing the mountain gorillas in Uganda, clients can engage in other adventure activities that include nature walks, forest walks, bird watching, and local community tours.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Kampala or Entebbe
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel or accommodation either in Kampala or Entebbe at 8:00 am and drive you to Mbarara. Your first stop is at the Uganda Equator where you can take pictures. Have your lunch at Regency Hotel or Agip Motel in Mbarara before continuing your journey to Kabale and from there to Bwindi. This lush highland rainforest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps.
The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Accommodation Options: (Bunyonyi Overland resort)
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest
Start preparing for your big day after breakfast. Attend a briefing session carried out by UWA staff at 8:00 am. Make sure that you carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks and lunch box, jungle boots, etc. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the pre-assigned group of mountain gorillas. Enjoy being part of one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take anywhere between 2 to 6 hours but is well worth the effort. Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi – Kampala / Entebbe Airport
Today marks the end of your three-day gorilla trekking trip. Travel back to Kampala then proceed to Entebbe Airport with lunch and a stopover at the Uganda Equator on Masaka Road. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
Travel from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Depending on where you are to be picked up from, we shall still catch up with the park activities and our Safari guide will brief you about the whole Journey. Entebbe International Airport is the international airport of Uganda located near the town of Entebbe, on the shores of Lake Victoria, and approximately 40.5 kilometers by road south-west of the central business district of Kampala, the capital and largest city of Uganda. Along the Entebbe Express highway, Drive through the flat roads direct to the Equator. Kampala is Uganda’s national and commercial capital bordering Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake.
